What is a doorstep loan?
Firth Finance offers doorstep loans in Northern Ireland in the form of cash or pre-paid debit MasterCard for those unforeseen costs, or if you find yourself financially in limbo.
Similar to a personal loan, we can lend between £100 to £1200 to assist you in tricky situations where you may find yourself unable to afford essential home repairs or other unexpected expenses, such as fixing your car, or purchasing essential items for your family.
You can choose to pay your loan via weekly, fortnightly, or monthly instalments, where one of our friendly team will call at a convenient time to provide a home collection service at your doorstep.
You can also repay your doorstep loan by direct-debit or direct money transfer if preferred.
Doorstep loans are usually for a small borrowings that can be paid off quickly over months, rather than years. Short term loans should not be seen as a long-term solution to financial difficulties.
How do I apply for a doorstep loan?
To apply for a Doorstep Loan, please complete the online application process. Alternatively, you can contact us via phone or email us, and one of our friendly team will assist you with your application which can be completed in minutes.
We consider all applications, even if you have a history of bad credit. After assessing your financial circumstances, we’ll carry out both a credit and affordability check to make sure your borrowings and repayments are manageable.
You can receive your loan in cash, have it paid into your bank account, or loaded onto a Firth Finance Pre-Paid Debit MasterCard.
Repayments are usually collected from your home each week, however, it’s not always practical for this to happen. You can therefore make a payment via our dedicated telephone payment line, by setting up a continuous payment authority (similar to a direct debit), or by bank transfer, if preferred.
How much does a doorstep loan cost?
Our interest rate is fixed and your paperwork will clearly show you how much your loan will cost.
All Firth Finance loans have no hidden fees or late payment charges, so you’ll know exactly what you’re paying back when you take out your loan agreement.
